Are we? Happy? I just realized today that I do NOT believe in CARMA. I have always believed in it and now-screw it----------Bad night had to vent that little bit.

Well, we are pushing for a raise, we will see. Cost of living here isn't bad, and not having a State income tax helps. I actually live 15 miles away from work in a different county, which has a lower tax rate. I could not afford to live in the county I work in, nor could I live in the city I work. I have 30 acres, not much of that aroudn town. LOL

Anyway. NO, no ACO is paid what they are worth. That is the point we all must keep pushing. This is becoming a specialized field. I always love the argument that a city can't survive without Police and Fire. Try to tell that to the lady with the backed up sewer flooding her house, or the pitbull camped on her doorstep wanting to play.

You have starch! I have read your postings!!! You have lots of starch. Its really funny, when I feel I am just about out of gas, the good Lord throws a curve ball right at me. I swing and miss until I hit it. I go on the roller coaster at about mach 20 once or twice a year not knowing what end is up then everything gets all better. Gromlich, this is only the test. It will all be okay one day!!!!!!!

Now go inspire us some more.

Default Municipal ACO's

As a municipal ACS/ Traffic Officer, I make approx. 40,000 + OT CDN a year. Our contractor we use to provide additional staff make more than I but are loosing contracts and laying off staff in record numbers.

I have to disagree w/ Mark. I make what I should, probably more. The pay is the only thing that keeps me in this job. Those of you who do it for the 'deed' are NUTS!!!!
