You could always get one of these beasts! It would be hard to get run over with that much bling shining in cagers eyes!
believe it or not, most of these started out as a Yamaha Majesty like mine....

Dude! (Dudette?) Iím starting to find a real attraction towards the scooteriní side of the two wheel world. It may even be easier to sell my wife on the idea of a scooter, as opposed to another motorcycle.

Of course, this is the one Iím saving up for. The way I have it figured, I can probably afford it when Iím 147 years old.

This is another one on my Christmas list. The bike, not the car.

Since my wreck, my wife really doesnít want me on anything with two wheels and a motor, but she is interested in me getting a scooter now. We have been noticing the ones cruising around, and I must admit, they do look pretty comfy. I may have to pick up one of the buyerís guide.

She does not need to know they are not safer then motorcycles. That s a myth. If anything they are more dangerous due to the size. They are very nimble and quick so you will have a grand time riding them. Once you go scooter you never go back!!!!

They seem to have come a long way. I know that with the small wheels and light weight the older ones tend bounce and lost traction on corners if the surface isnít really smooth. And some with the wide floor boards and low ground clearance would ground out on a corner, lifting a wheel off the ground, and down you go.

I was behind a Suzuki scooter on the way home the other day and I was really impressed with the design and ergonomics of it. It looked like it came from a company who is famous for making world class sport bikes.

While riding is inherently dangerous, safety is pretty well what you make it. Before my wreck, I had been riding for 34 years with no major accidents or injuries. When I had my wreck, I was going nearly twice the posted speed limit (trying to get to church of all places), and I ran out of room faster than physics would let the bike react.

Three days before the wreck, I had upgraded the foam padding in my jacket to CE armor. My pants already had CE armor in the knees and hips. In the ER the DR was totally amazed that after being thrown 100í down the roadway, there was not a mark on my body. If we get her a scooter, we will be getting a mesh jacket with CE armor, some mesh gloves (it was 80 degrees when I left for work this morning) and a Snell 2005 helmet.

For my equipment I have winter and summer clothes. I wear the summer most of the time......it hit 110 degrees here in P-NIX a few days ago... Joe Rocket mesh jacket proudly sporting my Scarab scooter club back patch. The elbows are made of CE armor the rest is foam. For winter I wear my corazzo. Check them out..

Sometimes I wear padded pants most of the time I don't I feel constricted wearing them and unable to move. Cant even get on my bike... I have several different types of gloves my favorite are my Icon patrol gloves. I wear a scorpion full face helmet. At first I was a bit suspicious of Scorpion but after reading several reviews they have proven themselves to me. Really happy with the helmet! Also wear my KBC all black chrome VR1. Love that helmet. Can't miss me.
