Euh... Whatever. Motorcycles are OK. Not my thing though. If you like it then more power to you but I would rather ride my 1966 Small frame Vespa then a cookie cutter Harley or Japanese street bike. That's just how I roll. Two wheels are always better then four and if you ride you are OK with me.

Cheers, Scooterchic

I have a list of bikes I want, RC51, Road Star or an old Kawasaki Venture 1300 just to name a couple. If I could still ride, I would be a very happy camper.

LOL. Came back to this old thread for reference and finally saw this. Then I saw this one and laughed even harder.

I've been searching for a bike in the 250cc range but, man, are they hard to find. Haven't even seen one yet, but so far everything is either too weak or too big and heavy.

Have you looked at the Honda Rebel yet? They arenít ďscootersĒ, but they are comparatively plentiful.

We don't have a lot of dealers here, but all I'm finding are Suzukis, Yamaha, and Harley's. I may have to travel out of town for Honda. So no, haven't seen one yet. I tried the old link you posted earlier but It no longer goes to a specific bike, I get an error message. I'll go back to the site and look for that model though.

I just copied this one from the Honda web site.

http://powersports.honda.com/motorcy...delId=CMX250C9

And here is an eBay link for some used ones for sale.

Unfortunately Iím from a completely different school from the small bike/scooter class. If it is less than 1000cc, then I just give it passing interest, so Iím not a lot of help.

The big boy bikes are sweet but I can't even budge one. I'm such a light weight. I just came back from the honda site. I like the rebel, I also like the nighthawk, maybe even better if it's as short and lightweight as it appears. I'll have to try one on.

The dealer I visited today recommended the an xt225 but he didn't have one and neither did his main store. One salesman said they can't keep them in stock.

The XT225 is light, less maintenance (single cylinder), and they run good, but you have to be fairly tall to ride one.

Harleys are pretty easy to ride, but they are unreasonably expensive, and they must fill the frames with lead to make them so obscenely heavy. When I had my KZ1000, and friend had a Harley Fat Boy. It was 30 horses lighter, and 100 pounds heavier, but it was also the most comfortable motorcycle I have ever ridden. You might want to look at an 883 anyway.

Suzuki has the TU250, of course it looks as if it just rolled out of 1969.

The GZ250 is a neat looking little ride.

What a cool looking bike. I have talked to my husband about buying an old motorcycle that resembles this and rebuild it. Less work to buy this and finish my 66 Vespa.

Cheers, Scooterchic
