stmelangell started another thread in General Chat called Chewowah where a lot of the failed attempts at pronunciation or spelling are listed. Take a look, its pretty funny.

I am a Borzoi and a Greyhound fan for a larger breed and for smaller, I like Italian Greyhounds.

Ooooh, I lovelovelove Borzois-in fact, I love most all sighthounds! My partner gets to choose the next dog we have, which means a mastiff is in our future, but after that I want a borzoi (assuming the permanent 'whippet' slot has been filled!) Salukis are fabulous, too.

I'm a softie for the American Pit Bull Terrier. But, I also love the English Bull Terriers, Danes, and for a little dog, I like Bichons.

And for not being an ACO, I have had a different experience with a Chow. She was my heart dog, "rescued" from a man who kept her chained up outside with 5ft of room and a little dog house for shelter. He fed her when he remembered as he was a drunk. We took her home with us, listened to her groan through her entire bath, tried to leave her out in the back yard too (this was SEVERAL years ago when I was living with my not so bright parents). Within 30 mins, that Chow instead of running off, she opened the gate and came to our door. She'd been with us all of two hours. But, she knew where home was. I loved that dog and I would give anything to have another dog like her. A beautiful black chow with a strong bond with me. I will be hard pressed not to take a chow into our rescue if a beautiful black baby comes along...I will have LOTS of trouble...

Default I like the big dogs....

My favorite breed is the Neapolitan Mastiff by far. But right now I have 2 Cane Corsos an, American Bulldog, and a Newfoundland and all of them are awsome dogs. I also like the Caucasian Ovchartka dogs and Fila Brasilieros ( I would love to own one some day ). I also have a deep admiration of Malamutes, Dobermans, Boxers, oh and the ever popular Pit Bulls.
I do however have to agree with most of the others here when it comes to Chows, they have to be my least favorite dog to deal with. They are hard to catch, and have horrible attitudes. That said I have met a few VERY nice Chows in my career of almost 10 years, so they are not all bad there are a few nice ones out there. Shar Peis can be nasty dogs as well, kind of like short haired, wrinkly, Chows.

Belgian Malinois! The most intelligent, loyal, loving dog I have ever owned.
