HA HA! Nice, sure they are small but are HARD to catch and pack a great fight. Wiley wee buggers.

Cheers, Scooterchic

Nice one bud, I herd shots all around me but didn't see any deer, the only thing I saw was some guy was some idiot walking around me all morning like he was lost...I wasn't to happy. The last thing I want to see while enjoying nature is people!

Not a deer, but how's this?

But I hafta confess, I didn't shoot him. We found him dead by the side of the road this summer. No bullet holes, no car parts scattered around. Not sure what killed him, or how many hours he lay dead. Therefore, he did not go in my freezer. He was between 200 and 300 lbs. with about 3 1/2 inch tusks.

I bird hunt, but don't deer hunt. My other half caught a coyote in a trap on Thanksgiving. Beautiful critter!

Hunting and trapping has taught me how to do my job better. How to capture animals quicker with less drama and trauma. How to read my surroundings and make decisionson how to handle things better. I know how to handle injured wildlife much better.

Its also taught me to enjoy the beauty of the animals around us. I'm one of those people driving down the road saying "oooo look at that!" while my fellow passengers are saying "huh, what are you talking about?"

Or, I'm one of those people who notice things in the movies like the sound track having sounds of hawks when seagulls fly over. duh.

One of my favorite things in life is having my best dog sitting by my side at 6 am while the swamp slowly awakens and the cacophony of shorebirds begins. By watching the dog I can spot the ducks and geese and teal and snipe and more coming in.

Hunting with a dog is to truly watch a dog live life to its fullest!
