What is wrong with you people! Good meat should only ever be cooked over a natural wood fire! Talk about flavor, those 'lectric devices just don't match.

LOL. I've never used a Foreman grill and I refuse to own a gas grill and I only use the natural charcoal, the kind that looks like burnt wood, as it gives so much flavor to the meat. I grill rain or shine or snow, if I can get a fire started then I'll grill in it. Though I've never grilled deer meat, only had it country fried or in chilli.

Howdy neighbor, and your quite right, open fire is the best. However, certain environments factors such a rain, dark and/or 30 MPH winds occasionally make the good ol out of doors less than conducive for real “grillin’”.

Jayscritters – love to have you for a visit, but there ain’t much opportunity around here. Greenville or DogCop would be more likely to come up with a place to hunt.

I have never gone hunting but would like to. My grandfather used to when he was younger but has not gone for 30 years. No one else in my family does it but a few people at work do. I might have to tag along and see what its like. I can out fish any of you though, fly and bait .

Cheers, Scooterchic

Just remember, most animals are colorblind, so wearing orange will keep you safe(r) from the good ol boy with the 30-06 in one hand and the brewsky in the other.

That sounds like catching bait. Sometime you should go on a long range fishing trip and "pray to the tuna gods".

(That's when, after fighting a large 100+ pound tuna for an hour or so, you are so tired you're just kneeling on the deck of the boat with your rod braced against the rail).

Oh man, that sounds awesome! My husband and I planned a 2 1/2 week long trip to the gulf. We were going to fishing off of the keys but had to cancel it. Maybe next year.

I really want to go golden trout fishing one more time with Grandpa. The fish are on the streams and lakes of the Sierra Nevada mountains near the 10,000 foot elevation. Hike in, camp, fish all day and night then hike out. Good times.

Here is a link about golden trout if you have never heard of them.

I thought there was a difference between golden trout and goldfish?
