Default HI All

HI Everyone:

I am new here and have yet to complete my profile I will be starting ACO training next week.

What I would like to know is what kind of salary can I expect for a new ACO Officer in New Jersey? I am from Middlesex County. Thanks. Jeffrey

Have no clue about salaries in NJ, but welcome to the group!

Welcome, don't be a stranger, post often. We love new blood. I suspect that in NJ, like everywhere else across this nation, wages vary by department. If the job announcement you responded included a salary range then I would say the low end of that range will be your starting salary.

Hi Pete -- I'm ACO/ACI for Hopatcong, and Stanhope, NJ Starting saleries are in the high 20,000 to low 30,000. I also do emergency work for 6 other towns after work. Here I get $20.00 an hour with a 3 hour minimum. Good luck! If I can help you withadvice in any way just let me know.

Welcome and good luck,
Dale

Just wanted to say welcome, as far as salary goes money-wise never enough karma-wise more than you can imagine. (Ok that was my deep thought for the day).

Talking i'm new to here too!

I just discovered this wonderful site! It's kind of hard to meet fellow ACO's and trade info. I am not new to the field though, i'm just new to the shelter I am at now. Working at Long Beach Animal Control...I love it...despite what the media has been trying to say...I wasn't there for the shenanigans...so please don't ask me...

I look forward to getting to know some people from other states!
