Default ACO Directors and Managers

How many of us on this site are Management level and above?

I think this is a good time to discuss ideas for improvements in our field that we can try on the executive level. we all have funding issues, training issues, field safety concerns, and then legislation.

What can we do to make it better for the field personnel?

Funding: I can't say much on the funding issues.

Training issues: Coming up with a national training standard would be good. We don't need any more "Vanilla Gorillas" in our field.

Filed safety: Mandatory training and yearly mandated training up-dates.

Legislation: See above for national training standard. Locally have ACO's recognized as true LEO's and add the necessary training.

And I went insane a while back but got bored with it so I am sane again.

I manage 3 officers and 8 kennel attendants. Budget is a little over $800,000. Annual intake is 5000 and euth rate is around 23 percent.

What do you think could be a game changer for you and your officers in the field?
Programs, new tech, or equipment wise. what is high up on your wish list?
