Default Looking for your thoughts on this

Our agency received a call from a local cemetery the other day. One of their workers found some animal remains on the edge of a recently dug, unoccupied grave. The site contained a pair of men's jeans, pair of boxer shorts and a t-shirt. Place on top of the t-shirt was a skinned goats head(commonly available at area ethnic butcher shops), and a decapitated chicken (body and head). There was no headstone on the grave site, no alter or apparent offerings. There was very little blood, leading me to beleive that the chicked was not killed at the location. We do have a hispanic (mexican) population in the area and some gang activity (bloods, MS13 or their clones). Don't know if this is some kind of occult activity or maybe a weird gang induction ceromony. Any thoughts would be of great help.

Contact these folks http://www.grapevinetexas.gov/Indivi...0/Default.aspx and ask for Lawrence. He teaches classes on Satanism and the Occult, so he would be your answer guy.

No written curses anywhere. Today there was a similar incident at the police station in the same town. Aparently some placed a dead rooster, a dead pigeon and a dead black bird near the door, the heads on the pigeon and blackbird were switched. In addition to the birds, there was 7 pennies and some burnt candles. They did this sometime during the night and it was found this morning. Our veterinarian seems to beleive all the birds were dead before being decapitated. The pigeon and blackbird were in somewhat poor condition. I'll check out the websites you have provided, thanks..........Jim

Were the candles the type in the glass jars with the saints or Mary on them?

Thanks for the info, I will ask around and see what I can find out about the symbolism used in these 2 incidents. I know very little about the afrocuban based religions, but I'm sure there are experts in some of the local universities that could help.

Jim, Sounds like who ever your dealing with are Santeria practicioners. The rituals of many religions are well defined and consistent. Santeria believers all do their own thing to a great degree. One of the common symbols is 7 pennies or multiples of 7 pennies. Apparently, due to the limitless numbers of ways they choose to practice it's very difficult to clearly identify what they were doing and who exactly they were targeting. Keep your Voodoo doll handy to ward off the evil incantations of the mighty witch doctor. Or, just keep that .45 locked and loaded as usual.
