they are pretty much only going to hire from within...it's what seaaca does...and if they hire from outside, i'm sure that person won't last very long...just a personal opinion

That's interesting to know, is there any specific reason they only hire from within their Department?

they would rather have someone that everyone knows move up into a position and bring in new officers is just how i remember it there...i'm pretty sure i know who they are going to give the position to if they DO hire from within...if they don't hire a current employee then i'll be a little surprised.

Thanks for the heads up ... nice to know I don't need to bother researching this one.

I can take a guess who they are going to promote as well. I would have to say Unit 33, if you know him.

i don't remember anyone's badge numbers anymore, except my old number, and 2 other people...it's been a while...but i was talking with one of my current co-workers to also use to work for SEAACA, and he said they pulled this before...that they post the listing, and keep the requirements so high and no one from within qualifies, and they don't even try for anyone to get on...he is guessing it's a stunt so they can say "see we are hiring during this tough time in the economy"...which i can see them doing...it's all about publicity there...now i am thinking, bc i can't remember 33...Al is the current corporal...but i can't remember his badge number...hmmmm.

ummm if i'm doing my process of elimination right, then the only two FTO's they should still have i know one of them is 13...so are we talking about Ken?? They wouldn't give him the seargent position, b/c he doesn't have 5 years in a supervisor position...tricky tricky seaaca is...him or Connie deserve it thought...they are awesome people, and fantastic officers.

I'm talking about Rob. In my opinion, an outstanding ACO. Whatever happened to Hernandez, the guy who was mauled by those pit bulls in Lakewood?
