Now who was it that said "If you really want to lose weight EAT NAKED"?

I've lost 37 pounds since last October. Also have type 2, but with mine it's the darn carbs that I can't tolerate. I can eat Ice cream all day long but a sandwich makes me feel ill. So I can't eat, bread (any kind), pasta, potatoes, carrots, radishes, onions (basically, if it's a root veggie I'm outa luck), corn and any fruit.

I can eat meat and greens. I seem okay with corn tortillas, but flour's out. So tacos are still in. I gotta say I sure have suffered. I can't eat what's on most menus and I don't really like salad all that much. But the weight has come off and I've survived. If I exercise, that's a big if, It's the exercise bands and a latin dance exercise video that I find the most fun to do. I would run but I've had a lame ankle for years and it won't tolerate much more than a short sprint.

No one has ever been able to explain it to me, but running makes my heiny cheeks hurt--not the muscles, just my sit-uponer itself. Not that I can run much anymore...knee surgery (broken kneecap)=arthritis=pain with extended high impact activities. I have been told it is funny to watch me run, as I apparently run like a duck, whatever that means! Hmmm...I wonder if ducks experience pain in their tailfeathers when they run, too?

I have a cunning plan ...

I'm going to move my scale to the kitchen. And then I'm going to make a commitment to weigh myself before I pop open the fridge or the cupboard and help myself to whatever-it-is that's about to hit my hips ...

That oughta do it, right???

Almost everybody I have ever met that went through our regional PD academy lost between 15 – 20 pounds, no matter how good of shape they were in when they joined. However, one of our female officers did put on 10 pounds of muscle while in the academy.

Run 1.5 miles a day? I can’t even walk 1.5 miles in a day.
