Default 3 Day Animal Cruelty Investigations Course - May 2010 Gastonia, NC

Animal Services Training and Consultation Inc.

3 Day Animal Cruelty Investigations Course

Itís time to register!

The May 2010 Animal Cruelty Investigations Course is right around the corner. Registration is easy! Just visit www.acotraining.com and click on the registration tab. Please see below for more detailed information regarding this course. This class has limited space and fills very quickly. We look forward to seeing you there!

May 6, 7, 8 2010 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday)

It is commonly known that there is a lack of training for Animal Cruelty Investigators and Animal Control Officers. This training was developed with that in mind. The course covers a variety of topics not normally discussed at seminars and conferences simply due to lack of time. This class should be attended by all investigators new and veteran because of the ever-changing content.

This is a non-traditional method of investigation instruction featuring interactive instruction and heavy class participation. The course is focused on the Adult Learning Style of instruction. It incorporates problem-based learning and allows the student to learn through carefully selected and designed problems that demand the learner to acquire critical knowledge, problem solving proficiency, self-directed learning strategies, and team participation skills.

The process replicates the commonly used systemic approach to resolving problems or meeting challenges that are encountered in life and career. All students will be given assignments to complete.

Course attendees comment that this course is unlike any that they have ever experienced and usually retain more information due to the mock scenarios and outdoor setting of the investigations portion. Attendees will play an active role in Crime Scene Reconstruction, Crime Scene Investigation, Evidence Gathering, as well as Search Warrant Preparation.

During this May class, ASTAC Inc. will be offering a block of instruction featuring Animal Bloodsports. Reservations are required for this course due to the popularity of the instruction being offered and space is limited.

Cost for the course is $175.00 per person if paid before April 15, 2010. Any registrations after this date will be $225.00 and all registrations after this date are non-refundable.

The course will be held at the Holiday Inn Express in Gastonia, NC. For hotel reservations please call (704) 884-3300. ASTAC has a special negotiated rate for attendees. When making reservations for your room, be sure to state that you will be attending the Animal Services Course.

Detailed course information, location specifics, and accommodations may be found on the ASTAC website under Upcoming Courses.

Hey Chuck,

Thanks for asking! Currently there are no plans for a west coast training in the foreseeable future but you can never be too certain! The class is so unique and in such demand that the east coast has us busy enough. I will forward the information on and see what becomes of it. If ASTAC can find a venue and an acceptable location for the residential crime scene, it may work well.

Thanks again,

Thomas
