Default Career Ladders?

How many of you folks use a carreer ladder within your department? Or how is your pay scale? We are trying to revise ours. I have most of it complete but just thinking twice to see if there are some things i should possibly add. If you dont mind sharing that with me. I would sure appreciate it alot. Ty.

Our career has a top rung and a bottom rung. Unfortunately they're the same one.

My career step stool is the same as 2642ís. The only place I can go from here is into PD as a dispatcher or patrol officer. Dispatcher tops out at around $4K per year more than ACO, and patrol hires in at around $4K per year more than ACO.

Oh, I get it, this is an April Fools joke, career ladders? If I'm lucky to live long enough to see the selfish, unqualified, retire!

I know agencies that are set up like that, but I donít know any who are members of this forum. The City of Bedford http://www.bedfordpolice.com/divisions.html#ACO has a system like that. There is no email link for them, but their phone number is 817-952-2191.

I think Ft Worth may also be set up like that http://www.fortworthgov.org/animals/...fragment=False
