Jimbo, you didn't offend me or anyone else here i don't think. BUt you know what they say opinions are like right ?! JUst giving input on my experience. THe snake we dealt with just obviously had a chang in attitude, once it wasn't getting food.

Well, I was a little offended at first, but it was more of a mis-interpretation of Jimbo's words than anything else. I jumped to a conclusion, but I was in a jumpy, nasty mood.

Sometimes what you read is far different from the way it was said. That is a problem with internet communications. If you were actually in a room talking to a person, there would be far fewer misunderstandings.

That's why smilies are so great!
They're easier to interpret sometimes.
You get into one of those suspicious moods when you just read someone's typewritten words ...

But then the graphic makes you realize that the person meant them differently.

I always know I'm getting a little too high on the soapbox ...

When I don't use a smiley every paragraph or so!!
Thank you A.G. for the great smilies we get on this site!!!

(And does anyone have any idea what this is???

Default Boa/Flordia question

I realize this is a little late. Just joined yesterday and have been wading through posts as I find time.

Anyway, is there a "boa" issue in the Everglades? I thought I remembered hearing this on the news a few weeks ago? How bad is the situation?

This thread just brought it to mind.

Beth

okay this is so outdated but I just wanted to say....
I am sure that little sweetie was pretty damn happy she got some water and food... And I am sure it felt nice to be able to stretch out in a new terrarium. My own boas probably looks at me as a no-body, but I know for a fact they do feel discomfort, as I used to work for a reptile vet, poke 'em witha needle and they become quite bitchy... Tell me that is not feeling...
They also become depressed and anorexic when ill, and have been known to stop eating when a life-long terrarium mate (another snake) is either removed from that snake's living area, or dies...
DOES the snake think "wow this lady really saved my life?" HELL NO.... But it never hurts for the officer to feel she has given that poor snake some much needed happiness, and that's all that matters, is that when you do this job, if YOU feel good about it, then that's all you need!!! So what if the snakie didnt feel love, as long as the human caretaker felt love (for the snake), that's what counts!!!!
