Do you know what the pay scale is there? I tried to check out the website for the animal shelter but it wouldn't let me go anywhere other than the main page.

You can spin it anyway you like, but this Florida girl DON'T DO SNOW. I lived up north for 3 years and have had a lifetime's worth of it. Shovelling, driving, frozen sidewalks, black ice. I'll take my chances with the hurricanes. P.S. I kinda like gators. Vacationing Snowbirds however . . .

Maybe I should think about applying (and moving). I am not finding anything around here.

Yes, I guess there is life outside California ... may have to be, anyway. The job hunt out here certainly doth sucketh, lords and ladies. I wonder if they'd be willing to carve off a couple of slices of that $700 billion they're handing to Mr. Bush's best friends, and use it to rebuild us "little people's" economies ... Oh, no, silly me. If the CEO of Lehman Bros. goes without lunch, that's a threat to democracy as we know it. If I go without lunch, that's just ... umm, a long-overdue diet. Yeah.

Go Pogo!!! We have met the enemy, and he is us ...
