Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I was having profile/log-in issues.

To answer your question above:

PErsonal- I work for Nampa Police Dept. We currently have 4 FT ACOs serving the community 7d week, on 12h shifts. Before I was an ACO I was a zookeeper.
City Size- ~90,000
Vehicles- 1 Ford diesel 250 (prob'ly 1995 model or older), 1 Ford 250 gas 2000 model or so. Both have full boxes on the back (bed removed). Both trucks are equipped with MDTs (i.e. computers).
Gear- standard issue OC spray, Asp, Taser, 700MgHz radio. I have also gotten a flashlight, ear piece for my mike/radio. I also wear a vest. Our trucks are equipped with 3 catch-poles (2 long, 1 short), a multitude of blankets, bowls, cadaver bags, gloves (latex & thick ones for cats), traps, carriers, etc.

Thank you to all who have responded to my request for information for state associations.

-I did google the Idaho Code Enforcement Assoc info and found no website. Only a media posting on the POST website about trainings offered. I am more interested in getting an organisation together specifically for ACOs or those that solely deal with animal control/LE things. Where I work, we are already offered DTRs, Asp and OC training. We are also sent to the National Animal Control Assoc trainings. I am working on talking to my Dept about sending us to POST to have more LE training. But I would like a resource available (esp to the counties that have no ACOs) to those who deal with AC probs in Idaho who can contact other ACOs and have meetings (when possible), membership, etc. Thanks for pointing out the Assoc though! It's def a start!
