Deer field euthanasia targets

Does anyone have any good deer or deer head targets to train on. Our agency dispatches alot of injured deer. Thanks in advance. papa

No, but we've recently discovered the "ear vein" technique of euth by field drugs ... almost as fast as shooting them!

If deer is not down, tranq with ketamine/xylazine (ideally 80.20).
If deer is already down, or when it's down with drugs, put a flashlight against inner ear. This will light up the ear's venous structure like an xray. Choose the big vein that goes along the centre of the ear to the base. Inject your fatal dose (Fatal Plus or what have you) in that vein.

Seems to go through the brain somehow -- deer are in Stage 3 anesthesia (or somtimes even dead) within 30 seconds.

Follow up with a heart shot once Stage 3 is complete (there is no corneal reflex (no blink when you touch the eye surface) or pain reflex (no muscular reaction to a hard pinch with the nails on a leg)).

This also works with wild rabbits ... it's by far the fastest way to put either species down with drugs.
