Hello everyone. Let me start out about telling about myself. I am one of the two ACO's employed by Marion-Grant County Humane Society, which is a non-profit organization. We cover about 400 square miles with a population of 71,000 people. So there is a lot of rural area. We are impowered by the county and cities to prosecute people for state crimes and write citations for ordinance violations.
Currently there is different ordinances for each town, cities, and rural area. I am currently helping changing this so it will be more uniformed and higher fines / punishment for the offenders.
Marion-Grant County Humane Society is the only humane society in the county. There is about 4,000 animals brought in a year. We get on an average about 25 - 30 calls a day of complaints through out the county.
The tools I use to accomplish my job is local police departments, prosecutors, police/ sheriff dispatchers, and the internet for research.
